A Drop of Jonesy

This is the tasting bit of Jonesy Wine. A chance for you to sample what we offer. I guess it all started by accident really and, in a way, I’ve been doing it for years.

I’ve always loved having friends over. Entertaining is my thing. More recently, I started inviting friends round to get their opinion on wine I’ve been planning to import. In true Jonesy style I always go overboard – loads of wine and food and more wine accompanied by music played at neighbour annoying levels and more wine. (Don’t worry, loud music isn’t obligatory).

Anyway, my friends always had a great time. They loved the wine too, and suggested that I host similar sessions as part of the Jonesy Wine experience. So that’s what I did. It started in my garden and now it’s evolved into me going to customer’s gardens and hosting, ‘A Drop of Jonesy’ there. 

What to expect 

Well, it’s not your average tasting. No silly tasting notes and definitely none of that swirling wine around in your mouth before spitting it out lark (that should be against the law in my book). All I do is give you a little background on each of the wines and where they’re produced ­­– nothing heavy. I’ll even bring some antipasti to really set the scene.

Put simply, it’s about having fun with your friends and trying some great wine ­­– the kind you only find on holiday. And, if you like it, you can even buy some.
